Which is the model of an ideal school for the 21st century? If we launched that question, for sure the response would be concepts such as: a technological and creative school, open to society, connected with the world, motivating, focused on people, etc. It is probable that, the vast majority of people would agree with these expressions. Some would offer nuances while others would add something different. We have been doing this constantly since 1895.

We prepare our students to lead their own future

At the SEK Educational Institute we like to ask ourselves questions. In fact, we have never ceased asking ourselves questions regarding the direction in which education is evolving. It forms part of our commitment to quality teaching. We observe our reality, we listen to proposals, we are attentive to new needs, we analyse other pedagogical practices and we incorporate those elements that guarantee the best learning system for our students. Our classroom doors are always open. In fact, they are always connected with the world because, on the outside, a social revolution is taking place. And we want to be protagonists, to be on the scene and to participate in the new global scenario. We want to prepare our students to be capable of guiding their own future. We do not yet know how that will be, but we have a feeling that old systems will not be appropriate for that moment. They will move within an international context, technology will be given a specific use and, surely, they will end up working in professions that have not yet been invented.
